Is it Worth it? 2009 Challenger SRT8 with Salvage Title but only 29 miles for Sale on eBay

A virtually brand-new 2009 Dodge Challenger SRT8 with a mere 29 miles on the odometer that's for sale on eBay captured our attention today. As you can see in the photos, the SRT8 suffered a blow on the driver's door while there's also damage on the passenger's side rear panel. The seller claims that it will cost $2,300 to $2,800 to get the car fixed, however, it does come with a salvage title and there's no factory warranty. The car's total price with all the options comes out to $42,640. As we speak, the highest bid on eBay is $24,500 but the auction will end on February 1st, so there's plenty of time for the price to go up. Think it's worth looking into and if so, how high would you be willing to go up to?

Nostalgically Trimmed 2009 Dodge Challenger R/T Classic on Sale from $34,005

As if the new 2009 Challenger isn't already the embodiment of retro design, Dodge has launched a new version of the coupe called "Classic" that adds more nostalgic flavor to the reborn muscle car. Based on the Challenger R/T with Chrysler's 5.7-liter V8 Hemi that delivers 376HP when paired to a six-speed manual and 372HP with an automatic transmission, the Classic is available for order now with a starting price of $34,005 which includes a $725 destination fee.

So what's so special about the Challenger R/T Classic? Well, on the outside it sports heritage-inspired dual-wide body-side R/T stripes, 'Challenger' fender badging in classic script, 20-inch polished-chrome heritage alloy wheels with all-season performance tires, classic egg-crate grille with a heritage 'R/T' badge, body-color rear spoiler and a chromed fuel-filler door.

Buyers will be able to choose from a palette of six colors: Brilliant Black Crystal Pearl, Bright Silver Metallic, Stone White and three Dodge heritage colors-HEMI(R) Orange, TorRed and B5 Blue.

Video: Twin-Supercharged Dodge Challenger SRT8 with 1000HP

So what happens when one isn't satisfied even with the 425-ponies of the range-topping Dodge Challenger SRT8's HEMI V8? Well, one solution is to bring the car to the folks over at RDP Performance. The Ohio-based tuner will add a duo of superchargers along with a nitrous boosting system and a series of other modifications to the V8 engine for a total output of 1,000 HP. According to the company, the RDP Challenger SRT8 can hit the quarter mile in 9 seconds - a whole second faster than the Bugatti Veyron... Skip the jump to find out what a 1,000 HP Challenger sounds like.
